The Pet Helpers Adoptable Pet of the Week is Rascal Ray! This handsome boy is 5 years young, independent, and plans on being a bachelor for the rest of his life.

Loving his alone time with his family, Rascal Ray is best in a home where he is the center of attention. Rascal has a big bark but an even bigger heart and is hoping he will find someone who has the patience and understanding it takes for a guy like him.

Come visit Rascal Ray at Pet Helpers and learn more about his story today!

What do you do with 23 puppies that need homes?  We adopt them out to awesome families in one weekend!  Pet Helpers had a HUGE weekend of adoptions sending home 41 dogs and cats between our two adoption events.

Puppies in the Window at M. Dumas and Sons was packed with potential adopters during SEWE, and we had 23 puppies in the window that needed homes.  ALL of them are now out of the shelter and sleeping in their own homes.

PetSmart National Adoption Weekend kept us busy at the James Island location, too, where we found homes for many adult dogs and cats.

Dustin and Scarlette – finally!

Some of the best news of the weekend came on Sunday when Dustin and Scarlette finally found their forever home! The staff was overjoyed when this bonded pair that spent 2 years and 2 days at Pet Helpers, left with their tails wagging all the way out the door on Sunday.

It is a beautiful reminder as to why we are a forever shelter. There is a home out there for every single animal and we are thankful that we are able to provide a safe transition place for them.

We could not do this without your support.  Your donations help us save dogs like Dustin and Scarlette every day.
